Do you teach Maths to children of all ages?

At Maths Tutor Essex Ltd we tutor Mathematics to pupils from Primary School (KS1 and KS2) to Secondary School (KS3 and KS4) including GCSE Level, as well as GCSE Statistics and AS Level Maths and A Level Maths

We also specialise in teaching for Maths GCSE re-sits and have had success with maths students from local colleges such as SEEVIC in Benfleet, Essex etc

We have helped many mature students with their various vocational qualifications, including teachers, nurses, pilots, engineers, bankers and many more as well as foundation maths courses for mature students

We welcome children who are being home educated and can work alongside parents and children to ensure that the Maths they learn will be relevant and in line with their existing Iearning experience.

In addition to these Maths tuition services, we run sessions for parents who are nervous about helping their children with their Maths homework and would like to brush up on their Maths skills.

About Sue Martin (was Comber)

I founded and have been running Maths Tutor Essex Ltd for over 20 years.

I have a distinction in the Certificate of Higher Education in Mathematical Sciences.
I have a disctintions in the ACI Financial Markets Diploma -degree equivalent and pre-diploma,as well as Maths & Economics A levels, Pure Maths and Statistics AO levels and various O levels.
I have an Enhanced DBS and a Level 2 in Safeguarding Children. I have completed the UK Government's Prevent Awareness course.

How much does it cost?

Under 16s

Online lessons - £40 per hour for KS1, KS2,KS3, GCSE level and GCSE re-sits

Over 16s

Online lessons £60per hour for AS Level Maths, A level Maths , Functional Skills, QTS Numeracy and other adult vocational qualifications.
Maths for Engineering Degrees, QTS, Police and other bespoke vocational qualifications- £60ph for online lessons

all payable per half term in advance.

We can arrange for a group discount for pupils of the same school year who wish to be taught together.

Home Educated students

We work with several Home Educated students and their families and enjoy the rapport and trust it is possible to build up when you work closely with the whole family.

Where do you teach the Maths lessons?

At Maths Tutor Essex Ltd we teach Maths and Statistics in the early evenings from a tailor-made study in my home in Thundersley, near Benfleet in Essex and we have students from Rayleigh, Leigh, Benfleet, Basildon, Southend, Wickford and surrounding areas. Our Maths students come from schools such as King John School, Belfairs High School, Fitzwimarc School, Sweyne Park School etc as well as local primary schools and Colleges such as SEEVIC.

Do you worry about helping your child with their maths homework?

Now there is no need to worry! We also run small informal Maths courses during the school day for parents/carers who want to be able to help their children with their Maths homework but find the whole subject too intimidating. For groups of up to 8 people, for about an hour and a half we chat through how Maths is taught today and help you to help your child. You can even bring your child's homework with you. The price is £15 per person per session. You can come to just one session or as many as you like. Please contact me for session dates and times.
